The Toyota Sequoia has always been a full-size, three-row SUV based on the Tundra pickup truck. And that doesn't change for the 2023 model year. What does change is its interior and exterior look, its features, and its powertrain.
Based on the Toyota Tundra's design, the Sequoia offers a spacious interior thanks to its three-row seating. With this seating configuration, the Sequoia can easily fit up to eight passengers. Though, that number can be reduced to seven by adding captain's chairs to the second row. Due to the various trims offered by this SUV, trims can come with either cloth or leather seats. Other amenities include heated and cooled second-row seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium audio system.
Although only one powertrain is available, this engine has plenty of power to offer. With a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 engine and an electric motor, the Sequoia produces 437 horsepower and 583 pounds of torque. Rear-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission come standard, though four-wheel drive is optional on most trim levels.
No upgrade is complete without new tech and safety features. And the 2023 Toyota Sequoia has plenty. Madison drivers can find a 14-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and smartphone mirroring throughout its various trims. And inside the Sequoia's newest trim, the Capstone, they can find open-pore wood trims and sound-reducing front glass.
